The Living Room

The Living Room | Te Amo Too

I can’t believe today is the day I start sharing our house with you! This is so exciting!

Welcome!

That’s right. You are greeted by a closet as soon as you open the front door. In reality it’s really not that awkward, just the picture I took of it!

On the right of the closet is the dining room and on the left is our living room.

A lot of sunlight through these windows.

I have been completely inspired by this Charming Tennessee Mountain Cottage I found while browsing through Southern Living. All the pictures of it are absolutely beautiful, you should check it out. This is their loft!

We already have a pharmacy floor lamp – that is bronze instead of brass like the one in the picture – and a side table where I can put a chunky table lamp.

I would love to get a sectional for the space. Sectionals are very expensive, so to keep costs down I have been looking for one on Craigslist that I will eventually slipcover with drop cloths, using Miss Mustard Seed’s Tutorial. This is how a wing chair she slipcovered looks like:

Instead of the window on top of the couch (duh!) I will hang my favorite piece we own: this gorgeous Decorative Ledge from Pottery Barn.

For the coffee table, I would love to find something unique like this:

One project that I would love to do is build a barn door to be able to close the living room from the family room. In my mind it would look something like this:

I am planning on using this tutorial from Remodelaholic.

We are going to add a rug. I know Joss and Main has some great options:

I will paint the room a light gray: Valspar Montpelier White. Like in this picture from Jenna Sue.

Well, that’s my vision for the space. I hope you can join me on this journey!
