DIY . Lemonade Stand Party Favors

This is the fourth post of our Lemonade Stand Party series. You can see all the pictures of the party here if you missed it. The second post is a tutorial on the invitation (here). On Monday we looked on how to dress up your dessert or buffet table (here). And today I’m gonna show you what our guests took home from the party.

So what do you take home from a lemonade stand? If you guessed lemonade, you are right!

I always like to have two favor options. If you are only inviting your child’s closest friends you can give each one a more personalized option, which costs more per person. But if you have a lot of people coming you don’t want to spend all your party budget on favors, right?! Well, at least not me!

The basic rule for giving out favors is: give something YOU would like to take home. For example, I am not particularly fond of the goodie bags filled with little toys that will break in the first ten minutes of use. So I try not to do the same.

Also, more is not better. I would rather receive one little thing that was really thought through than a bunch of junk to take home. Wouldn’t you?

8. Peel transfer tape away.

9. Embellish.

Tip: Fabric is much cheaper than ribbon. Cut 1 to 2 inches of a yard and you’ll have your own fabric ribbon.

10. Add drink mix.

Tip: If you place your design inside a square, circle or diamond, you can use the monogram and the negative space. That way nothing is wasted. In this picture you can see how I used the monogram on the tumbler and the negative space on the notebook.

Supplieskraft card stock paper (from Michaels) white card stock (from Amazon), white sticker paper (from Amazon), gold vinyl (from Amazon), tumblers (from Amazon), and fabric from Walmart (sold in stores).

Everyone likes to have something ready to go. It’s easy when you’re in a hurry to open the drink mix into the water bottle, shake and drink.

Now, how awesome is the tumbler? I would be thrilled to have my own! It’s not just a favor idea, it’s a great inexpensive gift idea too. If you would like to give this to someone you could fill it up with candies, chocolates, gourmet popcorn … and if you are really generous maybe slip in a gift card or money inside!

Friday is our last post on the Lemonade Stand Party. I am gonna show you how to “build” your own stand (here). If you are looking forward to it subscribe to Te Amo Too on the top right side of the screen.

The Te Amo Too Shop sells all of the lemonade party decorations, from the invitations to the personalized tumblers. All your party decor will be shipped to your door. Including recipes and a shopping list.

    1. I love it too! I “had” to make one with my initials for the tutorial … what can I do now? I guess I’ll just have to keep it ;) Thank you for hosting the Creative Spark Party!
