DIY Lemonade Stand | Te Amo Too

This is the easiest DIY in the history of DIYs.

Seriously.

It might be the reason why I have a whole category of projects called “if I can do it, you can Do It Yourself”!

Here’s what you need:

Supplies: two unfinished wood crates (from Michaels – remember to use your 40% off coupon, if you don’t have it on hand just visit retailmenot.com); two 2 in x 48 in pieces of wood (I got mine from Lowe’s); six cable ties (Dollar Tree has definitely the best price on it); kraft paper roll.

Paint: heirloom lace (Olympic Paint from Lowe’s), oyster shell (Olympic Paint from Lowe’s) and camafeo (Americana from Michaels)

Tools: scissors, glue gun, paint brush, letter stencils (I got mine from Decor Steals) and stencil sponge (from Michaels).

1. Gather your supplies.

2. Attach the two crates together by using two cable ties around the middle slat. One on the top and on the bottom.

3. Secure the two pieces of wood on each side of the crate stand by wrapping two cable ties on each piece. One on the bottom and on the top.

4. For the sign, unroll the kraft paper and cut 12 inches off of it.

5. Paint the front of the kraft paper.

Tip: For a more vintage feel when the paint is still wet rub your hands over the sign and some paint will come out because it will stick to your hand.

6. Using stencils – or if you really coordinated you can free hand it – write “Your Child’s Name” Lemonade.

7. Hang it on the stand using your glue gun. It will peel right off when it’s time to put it away.

The paper will naturally curl. That’s great, it’s what we want!
